Sarah Morris and Nick Guthrie: Sue Lloyd Roberts’ 'The War On Women'
As part of our St Hilda’s College Writers’ Day at the Oxford Literary Festival, Sarah Morris and Nick Guthrie will discuss ‘The War on Women’ by our late alumna and pioneering video-journalist and reporter Sue Lloyd Roberts CBE.

After Sue died of leukaemia in October 2015, her daughter, Sarah Morris, completed her mother’s last book. Sarah discusses it here with Sue’s husband, BBC producer Nick Guthrie. During Sue’s 40-year-long career, she witnessed the worst atrocities inflicted on women across the world. In observing first-hand the war on the female race she also documented their incredible determination to fight back. This book is the small tribute to the full and incredible life she lived and through it these women’s voices are still being heard.
