OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
In conversation with David Diop
Event in French
With Catriona Seth (All Souls College)
Organised in collaboration with the Alliance Française d’Oxford.
French novelist David Diop will discuss his approach to literature and writing with Catriona Seth. He is the acclaimed author of At Night All Blood is Black, a stunning account on a young Senegalese soldier’s descent into madness during the First World War, which won the International Booker Prize in 2021. His most recent book, Beyond the Door of No Return, is a gripping semi-historical imagining of the memories of a French naturalist in 18th-century Africa.
