OPEN DAY: DPhil in Cancer Science at the University of Oxford

This event will be held virtually over zoom, with pre-recorded presentations which can be found at

We are pleased to announce registration is now open for our open day for our DPhil studentships for 2022.

Oxford Cancer at the University of Oxford is awarding 13x full-time DPhil positions in Cancer Science for researchers looking to start their academic career at one of the world’s leading research organisations. These positions are funded through the Cancer Research UK Oxford Centre.

The programme is unique and distinctive in offering integrated training across the following themes: Immunity, Infection & Inflammation; DNA Damage Response & Radiation Biology; Cancer Genetics & Epigenetics; and Cancer Big Data. It builds on Oxford’s outstanding research record in these areas, spanning both the University and Hospital Trust.

The programme is fully funded for successful applicants (at the Home/EU rate).

As this year’s event is virtual, we have taken the decision to pre-record speaker podcasts which are available to watch on our website here.

The details of the application process will be summarised at the open day and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you have of the team. We encourage all attendees to listen to these ahead of the event as this will allow you to prep for questions you may want to ask. More information at
