OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
OICSD Book Talks: Lessons in State Capacity from Delhi's Schools
Please enter the college using the main entrance on Woodstock Road.
How do governments translate ambitious education reforms into meaningful outcomes for children? What do Delhi’s schools reveal about the promises—and limits—of building state capacity in India?
Join us for a conversation with Yamini Aiyar, author of Lessons in State Capacity from Delhi’s Schools and former President & CEO of the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. She will be in discussion with Prof. Akshay Mangla (Saïd Business School) and Prof. Nayanika Mathur (School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography).
The event will explore the complexities of governance, accountability, and reform in India’s education system, offering broader insights into the challenges of public policy and development.
