OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

This term’s Lincoln Unlocked lecture is a panel of three talks that explore the role of Jewish scholars in the history of the College and situate their experiences and intellectual legacies in the wider contexts of the history of Judaism and the history of Jews in Oxford.
Professor Martin Goodman (Professor of Jewish Studies, Wolfson College) will offer an overview of the Jewish history of the city and university. Dr Joshua Bennett (Fellow and Tutor in Modern History, Lady Margaret Hall) will look at the work of the philosopher Samuel Alexander: the first Jewish fellow of an Oxford college. Moving further into the twentieth century, Dr Bojan Bujic (Emeritus Fellow and Tutor in Music, Magdalen College) will consider the significance of Egon Wellesz’s Jewish background for his life and work as a musicologist and composer.
All three talks will call attention to the untold history of Lincoln’s significant interactions with Jewish intellectual culture during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
