OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Nir Yosef is Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and a member of the Center for Computational Biology at UC Berkeley. The overarching goal of his group’s research is to utilize high-throughput genomic data sets, mostly based on DNA sequencing, in order to build models that explain how gene expression is regulated. They have special interest in immune cells, covering various aspects of their biology, such as their differentiation, stability / plasticity, and response to acute stimulation.
