OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Research Ethics in the Oxford Medical Sciences Division - Who to Apply to and how to Prepare the Application
This session will be a semi-formal presentation, with scope for questions both during, and after, the presentation. It will commence with an introduction to research ethics approvals and why/when they are needed. The various research ethics committees (both within Oxford University and the NHS) will be introduced, together with guidance as to which to apply to depending on the nature of the research proposal. We will then discuss the process of application to an ethics committee, including preparation of required study documents.
