OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Knowledge and Nationalism in Nineteenth-Century Spanish America
Nicola Miller is Professor of Latin American History at UCL. She has published widely on the intellectual, cultural and international history of the Americas. She currently holds a Research Fellowship funded by the Leverhulme Trust to work on a history of knowledge and its relationship to nation-building in Latin America during the century after Independence. This work will be published as Republics of Knowledge, by Princeton University Press in 2018.
