OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Introduction to Presentation Skills (in-person)
The course will cover the key principles of planning and delivering a successful talk, and help to build your confidence. Each subject area in the MPLS Division has its own specific requirements for research presentations: please note that this course does not seek to address these.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the session, participants will have:
Developed an awareness of what makes a presentation effective.
Understood why planning and practice are crucial to the success of a presentation.
The confidence to choose and use a variety of techniques to engage the audience.
Practiced delivering a short presentation and gained constructive feedback.
INTENDED FOR
PGR and Research Staff with limited experience of giving presentations.
