OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
GGR Insights: What types of CDR are ‘nature-based solutions’?
This is part of a series of online webinars, GGR Insights, hosted by the CO2RE Hub. CO2RE (pronounced “core”) is the UK’s national research hub on greenhouse gas removal. The aim of the webinars is to present the latest research and debate what is needed to enable the sustainable scale-up of greenhouse gas removal (GGR) in the UK.
“What types of CDR are ‘nature-based solutions’?” will examine carbon dioxide removal (CDR) methods that tackle both climate and socio-ecological challenges, and how they can scale alongside other CDR methods. It will draw on the CO2RE Hub’s research and include perspectives from other speakers. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.
We are delighted that the following speakers will be joining the webinar:
Dr Aline Soterroni, Nature-based Solutions Initiative, CO2RE Hub and Oxford Net Zero (Chair)
Dr John Lynch, Agile Initiative, Oxford Martin School (formerly Research Affiliate at CO2RE)
Dr Ruth Gregg, Senior Analyst, Climate Change Committee
Dr Harley Stoddart, Head of Climate Mitigation Science, Defra
