OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Praise be to the Lord, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians. Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.’
Exodus 18:10-11
Exodus is one of the greatest rescue stories ever told. Recording the people of Israel’s dramatic escape from slavery in Egypt, it paves the way for the ultimate act of redemption in Christ.
Simon Vibert’s commentary is a hope-filled illumination of this fantastic story. Retold for modern readers, it shows how God rescues his people, overcomes his enemies and brings himself glory – and what that means for our hope in Jesus Christ today.
