A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Julia Gillard was the prime minister of Australia from 2010-2013. She was the first woman to serve as Australia’s prime minister.
In October 2012 she received worldwide attention for her speech in Parliament on the treatment of women in professional and public life.
Julia Gillard has a longstanding commitment to expanding access and quality to education worldwide and to supporting girls and women fulfil their potential. Some of her current activities include serving as a patron of CAMFED, the Campaign for Female Education and chairing the Global Partnership for Education.
She will be talking at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, on Tuesday 26 March, at 5.30-6.30pm on “Women and Leadership – Fighting for an equal world“.
