OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Oxford Philosophy, Law, and Politics (PLP) Colloquium is an interdisciplinary colloquium series that brings together theorists from philosophy, law, politics, and beyond to discuss works-in-progress by distinguished scholars.
Sally Haslanger is Ford Professor of Philosophy and Women’s and Gender Studies at MIT. She has published in metaphysics, epistemology, feminist theory, and critical race theory. Broadly speaking, her work links issues of social justice with contemporary work in epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind.
Rachel Fraser will be opening the discussion of Haslanger’s work, centred around the work-in-progress paper ‘Structural Injustice: Managing Social Coordination in Complex Systems’.
To register for the event, and to receive a copy of the paper, please email oxfordPLPevents@gmail.com.
