To mark the centenary of WW1, throughout 2016 and 2017 St Peter’s will commemorate the remarkable role played in the conflict by its founders, the Chavasse family. This will include an exhibition of rare archive material held by St Peter’s and other institutions, a series of commemorative lectures to be delivered by distinguished speakers, and other events.
To give the inaugural address – ‘Lions led by Donkeys’ – we are delighted to welcome back to St Peter’s the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Sir Nicholas Houghton GCB CBE ADC Gen (1977, in-service BA Modern History). As Britain’s highest ranking military officer he is responsible for shaping the future of the British Armed Forces during a significant period of strategic, economic and diplomatic change.
Tickets to this event are available to SPC members and alumni and their guests (maximum of three guests per SPC Member/Alum), and members of the public. Please book on Eventbrite.
