Antonio A. R. Ioris is professor of political geography and director of the MSc in Environment and Development at the School of Geography and Planning, Cardiff University. His recent research projects have deal with the politico-ecological contradictions of agribusiness-based economies, development frontiers in the Amazon Region, and the struggle for land and recognition of indigenous peoples. Last books include “Geographies of Difference, Indifference and Mis-difference: The Guarani-Kaiowa People and the Myths of Brazilian Development” (Bloomsbury, 2024) and “Uncommoning, Difference and Politics: Worldless Production of Paraguay” (Routledge, 2025).
