OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Immigration is a major political issue across Western Europe and North America, and has received considerable attention from the media and from scholars. However, much of that attention is focused on analyzing opposition to immigration. We know much less about the people who support immigration. In this book, I correct that oversight, and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of immigration preferences. I probe diversity among the people who support immigration, as well as their reasons for supporting immigration. I also analyze their depth of commitment to immigration and the conditional nature of support for immigration. This book is a work in progress and I will present the results thus far, which offer numerous insights into people with pro-immigration attitudes in Europe.
