A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. A career in academic research is seldom straightforward; it comes with many challenges which can be an emotional rollercoaster. I will discuss how I have navigated the many highs (successes) and lows (disappointments – of which there have been many!) that I have encountered during my academic career to date and what I have learnt in the process. I will also discuss how I have gone about creating a supportive research environment.
