CGAT ‘Genomics in Transcriptional Regulation’ symposium - 4th Dec 15
Dear All,

CGAT (the Computational Genomic Analysis and Training group) is an MRC funded programme based at the University of Oxford run by Chris Ponting, David Sims and Andreas Heger to train future leaders in computational genomics and address the analysis and interpretation bottle neck that impedes the adoption of high-throughput sequencing technology.

We are hosting a one-day ‘Genomics in Transcriptional Regulation’ symposium in Oxford on Friday the 4th December 2015

The symposium will focus on genomic approaches to investigate the mechanisms regulating the dynamics of transcription elongation and transcriptional processing. The symposium will cover a range of sequencing techniques including RNA-Seq, mNET-Seq, GRO-Seq and iCLIP and provide excellent networking oportunities for those interested in investigating the mechanisms underlying transcription and gene expression with next-generation sequencing technologies.

Speakers include: – Professor Shona Murphy (Oxford) – Professor Jesper Svejstrup (Francis Crick) – Professor Magnus Rattray (Manchester) – Dr Manuel Irimia (CRG, Barcelona) – Dr Michaela Frye (Cambridge) – Professor Jernej Ule (UCL)
Keynote speeches delivered by Professor Nicholas Proudfoot (Oxford) and Professor Jürg Bähler (UCL).

Registration is free and you can sign up and access full details of the event at: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cgat-oxford-university-symposium-on-genomics-in-transcriptional-regulation-registration-18648734868

For more information about the CGAT training program and how CGAT can help your research and sequencing analysis through collaborations with CGAT post-doctoral training fellows and the CGAT Code Collection see www.cgat.org.

Best wishes,
