On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

All over the world, increasing numbers of people move into cities. Urban hotspots can be a source of ideas and progress – but also one of dangerous inequalities. So what should today’s cities be doing to prepare for the future? The Oxford Climate Society will explore the problems that face cities in both developing and developed nations and discuss potential solutions with Radhika Khosla, a Senior Researcher at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, whose research examines how countries and cities in transition can effectively manage and meet their energy, economic and environmental objectives.
