Oxford Biomedica – The gene therapy journey
OUBT’s first event of term in collaboration with the SynBio society. We are excited to be hosting two speakers from Oxford Biomedica, one of the most successful biotech companies in the Oxford area.

Oxford Biomedica specialises in lentiviral vector development for use in diverse applications, such as cellular reprogramming in CAR T cell therapy and in Parkinson treatment.

Our speakers will be Dr. Nick Clarkson, head of Platform research, and Dr. Yatish Lad, head of early development. They will present a talk on both the scientific R&D aspect of the company and on financial aspects of biotech start-ups.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception and the opportunity to network and meet other biotech entrepreneurs.
