Wellcome Open Research – author led publishing
A Place for Wellcome researchers and Wellcome centres to rapidly publish any results
Wellcome Open Research is a new publishing platform that removes barriers to publication, ensuring research findings are quickly discoverable, and replaces evaluation by Journal Impact Factor with article-level assessment.

Fast, transparent publishing
Articles are typically published – with a formal citation and DOI – within a week of submission, making research outputs available faster, and supporting reproducibility and transparency. The platform has an open research publishing model where articles are published immediately followed by open invited peer review. All published articles include supporting data, to enable reanalysis, replication and reuse.

Publish what you want, when you want
An author-driven approach where you and your collaborators can rapidly publish any of your results, from traditional narrative-based articles to incremental findings, methods, protocols, software tools, datasets and negative/null results.

No cost to you
Article processing charges will be funded centrally by Wellcome.
