OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

JP Singh is Chair and Professor of Culture and Political Economy, and Director of the Centre for Cultural Relations at the University of Edinburgh. Singh has authored eight books, and published more than 75 scholarly articles. His research has won several awards including the best book on information technology and politics from the American Political Science Association for Globalized Arts: The Entertainment Economy and Cultural Identity. His current project is Development 2.0: How Technologies Can Promote Inclusivity in the Developing World (Oxford, forthcoming). A recipient of several teaching honours, he has taught at universities in the United States and Europe including Georgetown University and the School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC, the Graduate Institute in Geneva, and the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. He has advised international organizations such as UNESCO, the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization. Singh is editor of Arts and International Affairs.
