Jews and the Bible in the Ancient Mediterranean
Benjamin Wright is a University Distinguished Professor in the Religion Studies Department in Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he teaches courses on Judaism and Christianity in the ancient world. His research focuses on the history and literature of Early Judaism. He co-edited with Albert Pietersmna, A New English Translation of the Septuagint (Oxford: OUP, 2007) and his most recent book is The Letter of Aristeas: ‘Aristeas to Philocrates’ or ‘On the Translation of teh Law of the Jews’ (Berlin: Walter de Gruyter, 2015). He is currently working on a commentary on the Wisdom of Ben Sira (Sirach)
