OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Digital accessibility and graphics: What is it ALT about? How to provide text alternatives to images and graphics
This workshop will introduce cover all the ins and outs of providing text alternatives for users of screen readers and others. It will cover both the most common uses of the text alternative and edge cases.
It will also address using graphics in general and how to aid or magnify their benefit for understanding through providing supporting text for all.
