OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Digital accessibility and graphics: What is it ALT about? How to provide text alternatives to images and graphics
This workshop will introduce cover all the ins and outs of providing text alternatives for users of screen readers and others. It will cover both the most common uses of the text alternative and edge cases.
It will also address using graphics in general and how to aid or magnify their benefit for understanding through providing supporting text for all.
