OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
What’s in a (performance) number? And how do we use it?
In this session, we will be using the Life Chances Fund projects’ data as a starting point for a conversation on how to use performance measures to improve public services. Together with a group of practitioners working with performance data, we will discuss the uses of performance data and how different audiences interpret these data. We will also hear from an academic about behavioral public performance and dive deep into the biases in people’s perception and use of data, and lessons for practitioners and policymakers.
