OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected to start before the end of Hilary Term to allow all future events to be migrated to the new platform. How do we move from tracking disease emergence to predicting the next epidemic?
This talk brings together experts in pathogen genomics, virology, ecology, climate science, and data science to explore how AI, genomic surveillance, and new environmental data streams can enhance predictive models of emerging infectious diseases —bridging the gap between spillover events and epidemic forecasting.
