OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Conducting Interviews for Research
This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to conducting interviews for research purposes. Participants will be guided through the process of preparing for and carrying out interviews, and incorporating results into their thesis or research output. The workshop aims to cover:
* Types of interviews and their purpose
* Ethical considerations, vulnerable groups and safety
* Obtaining informed consent
* Preparing questions
* Recording and transcription
* Referencing interviews in research outputs
* Storing, securing and anonymising interview data
This workshop is open to all students and researchers who will be conducting interviews for the purpose of their research. It will be delivered by Dr Rebecca Ehata, a social researcher with 10 years’ experience interviewing migrants, minority communities and policy-makers.
