OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Theories of Reading: A Literary Roundtable
Next Monday 14th October at 5.30pm, we will be holding the free, public event: ‘Theories of Reading: A Literary Roundtable’ in Lecture Theatre 2. This will be followed by a wine reception in the English Faculty Reception area.
The roundtable will feature 3 DPhil students from the English Faculty and is intended as an event to encourage cross-period conversation:
- Ellen Brewster: ‘Eighteenth-Century Theories of Reading’ – Lauren Cullen: ‘Reading Animals in the Victorian Period’ – Lillian Hingley: ‘The Oxford Don: Re-reading my Grandfather Today’
