OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Maldivian History: A drop in the Indian Ocean
We have invited Maldivian historians including former President and author Mohamed Nasheed, scholar Xavier Romero-Frias and research analyst Alaa Didi to attend a conference where they will present their scholarly work and discuss their expertise in different eras of Maldivian history. The intended aim for the conference is to address the dearth of material from Maldivian historians and create space for the Maldives in the global and imperial history discourse.
