OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

‘Peace in the Nuclear Era: threats, treaties and public understanding’
Welcome to the 2021 OxPeace Conference, on ‘Peace in the Nuclear Era’. This conference aims to look at the present state of nuclear treaties and nuclear capabilities, consider future threats and opportunities, and assess public understanding and the role of civil society in determining future directions. An opportunity to learn facts and assess where the world is heading in this vital area for peace, conflict and international diplomacy. Speakers include Lord Des Browne, Dr Nick Ritchie, Ambassador Peter Jenkins, Edward Howell, Marina Favaro, Sebastian Brixey-Williams, Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh, Prof Koji Nakamura, Jamie Kwong, Dr Christopher Watson, Jeremy Cunningham.
