OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Death of distance, resurrection of borders: Paradoxes of remote labour markets on the Internet
The OII is delighted to present Professor Vili Lehdonvirta, Professor of Economic Sociology and Digital Social Research. He examines how digital technologies are shaping the organization of economic activities in society.
They will be discussing whether we are moving towards a borderless labour market, and comparing National institutions vs. digital platforms for remote work.
