OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Elections: When they work? When they fail?
Professor Przeworski is a Professor of Politics at New York University who specialises in democratic theory and political economy. He won the John Skytte Prize in Political Science in 2010 and the American Political Science Association’s Woodrow Wilson Prize in 2001.
Professor Przeworski has published multiple major works, including “Democracy and Development; Political Institutions and Well-Being in the World, 1950 – 1990”, “Democracy and the Market” and “Capitalism and Social Democracy”, which are standard reading in most comparative politics and political economy courses today. His most recent book, Crises of Democracy, was published in 2019 and discusses present threats to democracy from both political and non-political perspectives. He previously taught at the University of Chicago and has held multiple visiting appointments worldwide.
