OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Get Into Teaching
Whether you’re ready to start your career in teaching or just curious, the government’s Department of Education can answer your questions at this Get Into Teaching event.
Who is this event for?
The event is designed for anyone who has a degree and is interested in teaching, it offers a great opportunity to get all your questions about teaching and teacher training answered.
What to expect
If you attend the event you’ll be able to:
* talk to experts about how to get into teaching
* meet representatives from our own and other schools/universities that deliver teacher training in this area, and find out about their courses and entry requirements
* meet others like you considering a career in teaching
* talk to recently qualified teachers about what a career as a teacher is really like
* find out about bursaries, scholarships and funding available for teacher training
* find out about the University of Oxford’s PGCE course
