Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. The role of active industrial policy in transforming economic growth trajectories has attracted advocates from the both sides of the literature. Some emphasize the importance of industrial policies in the East Asian growth miracle, while others argue for the occurrence of the growth miracle despite industrial policies. I plan to take a more panoramic view of this issue by comparing the effects of industrial policies across East Asian countries using staggered difference-in-differences and counterfactual methods.
