The University of Oxford will be hosting an AIMday* focused on Ageing. It is a no-cost opportunity for companies and organisations to exchange knowledge and ideas with Oxford University academics and clinical researchers.
Due to our ageing population there is an urgent need to improve healthcare systems, deliver better community-based healthcare and to develop innovative methods/technologies for self-management of health, in parallel with promotion of healthy living and support of active ageing. AIMday Ageing will bring together healthcare researchers and practitioners to discuss these key issues.
Themes for discussion will include:
* Medical device development
* Assisted living technologies
* Diagnostics
* Strategies for disease prevention
* Promoting healthy living
*The AIMday concept has been successfully pioneered by the University of Uppsala, Sweden and used in a wide variety of contexts. More information can be found on their website- www.aimday.se
