Immune selection shapes the entry pathway of hepatitis C virus
Joe is investigating the molecular mechanisms of virus entry and antibody evasion. In particular he is using hepatitis C virus and human immunodeficiency virus as models systems to study how viruses maintain persistent infection in the face of ongoing immune assault.
