OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Professor Timothy Garton Ash is a renowned British historian and commentator, specializing in contemporary European history. He serves as Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford and is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Garton Ash has authored numerous influential books, including The Magic Lantern and Free World, and the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen (oldest and best-known prize awarded for work done in the service of European unification) in 2017. His work focuses on the transformation of Europe, the challenges of liberal democracy, and the interplay between history and current affairs.
