Maud Yvinec es doctora en estudios latinoamericanos por la Universidad París 3 – Sorbonne Nouvelle, magíster en lengua, literaturas y culturas hispanoamericanas por la Escuela Normal Superior de Lyon, y diplomada en quechua por el INALCO de París. También fue becaria del Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos en Lima. Actualmente se desempeña como profesora titular de español y culturas hispanoamericanas en la Universidad de París 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne. Es especialista de historia cultural del Perú. Se interesa en particular en las representaciones de las poblaciones autóctonas andinas, desde el siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Ha publicado Les Péruviens auparavant nommés Indiens. Discours sur les populations autochtones des Andes dans le Pérou indépendant (1821-1879) con un prefacio de Bernard Lavallé (2021).
