OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

OxSTEM Policy Society Presents: What is Metascience?
Keep up to date for more announcements on the OxSTEM pol soc instagram @oxstempolsoc, or email dominic.buxton@lmh.ox.ac.uk to be added to our mailing list.
With budget cuts and DOGE, working out how to do science well has become all the rage recently. The Metascience unit, established by UKRI and DSIT sets out to ask questions like ‘What science should get done’, ‘How should science be done’, and ‘How do we help science get done effectively’ .
Come along for a presentation by Jack Leahy and Cillian Brophy and find out more about the work at the Metascience unit, and decide for yourself whether so-called ‘smart’ science is what we need, or if it’s just a sign of the times.
