Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Elda Mosquera and Rodrigo Pérez were rivals during the Colombian civil war – Elda was the leader of a guerrilla front, while Rodrigo was a paramilitary commander. In this online event, Elda and Rodrigo discuss how they joined the war; their experiences from opposing sides; why violence directed against civilians was so brutal; and how they managed to leave the war and carry out an extremely unexpected reconciliation process. The conversation will be in Spanish and simultaneously translated into English.
