Tickets, (which are free), are available on a first come, first served basis to staff from across the Medical Sciences Division.

09.00 Introduction by the Head of Department followed by a presentation on The University & the Mindful Employer Scheme

09.30 –11.00 Mental Resilience – the emphasis of this workshop session will be on understanding how to manage and prevent stress, bolstering personal resilience thereby enhancing performance and giving guidance on developing a positive mental approach to change and adversity.

11.15 – 12.15 A Core Issue: Reducing Pain, correcting posture (Limited to 50 participants) This will be a personalised interactive seminar aimed at identifying, correcting and preventing pain in the back, neck and shoulders. It will include postural assessments and an active core strengthening and stretching session.

12.30 – 1.15 Learning Optimism & Positive Thinking

14.00 -15.15 Mental Resilience (Repeat of the Morning Session)

15.30 – 17.00 Food & Mood – the emphasis of this workshop will be on getting the most out of food in terms of energy and good mood, highlighting the connection between what we eat and our emotional wellbeing
