The future of nationalism
Brexit, Trump, European populism: all involve the assertion of national identity and sovereignty against supranational institutions and cosmopolitan ideals. Yuli Tamir’s recent book, Why Nationalism, argues that liberals need to get on board with nationalism. Matt Goodwin’s recent co-authored book, National Populism, argues that national populism is here to stay. Join them for a discussion on the future of nationalism, with a response by Oxford philosopher David Miller.
