OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The Tech Response to COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the products and services offered by tech companies have kept many of us entertained, connected with friends and families, and ensured we could still get our favourite foods at home.
However, in many nations contact-tracing apps have fallen short, platforms have allowed the spread of health misinformation, and gig economy workers have been left without physical and financial protections.
We host a conversation to explore the tech companies and industry response to COVID-19, with panellists:
Prof Phil Howard, Director, OII
Carly Kind, Director, Ada Lovelace Institute
Ravi Naik, Co-founder, AWO
Ana Grouverman, Group Product Manager, Spotify
