OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Assets-based Approaches to Adult Social care - Developing a New Public Service Offer
The ‘GTC Conversations on Care’ provide an opportunity to assess broad developments within the fields of health and social care. This ‘conversation’ will explore the concept of social capital and examine the conceptual underpinnings of a new approach and the relative significance and inter-connections between asset-based approaches and social capital. Professor Jon Glasby will outline practical attempts to translate these debates and concepts into new approaches to the delivery of adult social care as part of Birmingham’s work around ‘Turning the Welfare State Upside Down’.
