OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Politics of Conflict Resolution: Evaluating the establishment of the Loss and Damage Fund from COP26 to COP28
At COP28, the operationalisation of the loss and damage fund was hailed as a major victory for climate justice. However, how was the diplomatic agreement achieved and what lies beneath the veneer of consensus? Through the lens of negotiation analysis, and with insights gained from elite interviews, this dissertation project aims to examine Parties’ underlying expectations of the Fund, while conceptualising a typology of strategies involved for conflict resolution.
