Indigenous Economics changes economic theory at basic levels
Registration for the webinar closes fifteen minutes before the event.
Ronald Trosper is professor of American Indian Studies at the University of Arizona and a leading scholar in the area of indigenous economics. Originally trained in economics—his PhD supervisors at Harvard were Kenneth Arrow and Albert Hirschman—he has also published in the fields of American Indian Studies, Ecological Economics, Policy Studies, Forestry and Anthropology. He is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation, Montana.
Prof Trosper will present parts of his recently published textbook (Indigenous Economics: Sustaining Peoples and Their Lands, 2022), where he argues for an economics based on relations of care, rather than an economics based on competition. In order to participate in the webinar, interested participants have to register themselves on below EventBrite link. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the event.
