‘Ravenser Odd’: The making of a poetry pamphlet
Join publisher Jenny Lewis and poet Michael Daniels and follow a poem’s journey from initial spark, through selection, editing, design, production, promotion and marketing to the finished pamphlet Ravenser Odd from which Michael will read.
This seminar is open to all, no booking necessary.
Refreshments will be served from 17:00, the seminar will begin at 17:30.
Jenny Lewis is a poet, playwright, songwriter and translator who teaches on Oxford’s MSt in Creative Writing. She has had seven plays and poetry cycles performed at major UK theatres and published four books of poetry: the most recent, Gilgamesh Retold (Carcanet, 2018), was a New Statesman Book of the Year. Michael Daniels is a graduate of Oxford’s MSt in Creative Writing, where the poem cycle Ravenser Odd was conceived. This is his first pamphlet.
