Identifying and validating correlates of protection: Challenges and opportunities
Correlates of protection (CoP) are an important tool in vaccine development, approval, and deployment. Although many studies identify biomarkers predictive of protection, demonstrating the validity and generalisability of a CoP present a major challenge.

In this talk Professor Davenport will discuss his team’s work establishing a mechanistic correlate of protection for COVID-19, and more recent application to mpox and HPV
