Laboratory Technician Apprenticeships Information Session

This is a brilliant opportunity to find out first-hand about the outstanding apprenticeship based training available for new recruits into the University or for those already working in a laboratory environment.

As well as an overall discussion about University Apprenticeships, our chosen Lab Tech Training Provider, CRS Group will also be here to explain the details of the training available and the delivery methods used.

CSR Scientific Training have partnered with the University in the academic provision of the level 3 laboratory technician apprenticeship since November 2016, when two apprentices started in the Dunn School of Pathology and Nuffield Department of Medicine. Last year, another two apprentices started in the Department of Plant Science and Department of Biochemistry. The academic training involves a combination of classroom-based and practical-based learning, taking place at the Oxford Milton Science park on a day-release basis.

CSR are the UK’s largest provider of scientific apprenticeships, they are working with some of the country’s leading scientific organisations to train the scientists of the future, some of their customers include: The National Physical Laboratory, Abcam, Green Biologics, Evotec, Oxford Immunotec, LGC, Eurofins and The University of Surrey.

CSR deliver the following scientific apprenticeship programmes to new apprentices and existing staff members:

- Laboratory and Science Technicians Standard – Analytical and Process Science – Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) – Life and Industrial Sciences Standard – Science Manufacturing Technician – Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) and – Laboratory Scientist – Chemical or Biological Science – Higher Apprenticeship (Level 5)
