A Conversation on Entrepreneurship

We are pleased to invite you to join Founder of Addison Lee John Griffin, Professor Colin Mayer, Fellow in Management Studies at the Saïd Business School, and members of Oxford Entrepreneurs for a Conversation on Entrepreneurship at Oxford’s newly founded entrepreneurial centre, the Oxford Foundry, at 2pm on 15 May.

John began his career as a minicab driver before going on to found Addison Lee in 1975 which now has a fleet of 4000 cars with an annual revenue of over £900m. He is an ‘Enterprise Fellow’ of The Prince’s Trust and has appeared on The Secret Millionaire.

Colin Mayer CBE FBA is a Wadham Fellow who researches in the fields of corporate finance, governance, regulation, and taxation.

The event is free to attend, but space is limited so please register your interest here. You will get the chance to speak with John during the Q&A session which we hope will be helpful to your entrepreneurship journey.

This event forms part of a series of engaging events on topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation which began in November 2016 when alumnus John McCall MacBain (Jurisprudence, 1980) joined alumna Heather Stevens (Psychology, 1976) to discuss Building a Business with current Wadham students. You can read more about Wadham entrepreneurs here (www.alumniweb.ox.ac.uk/wadham/events/2018/a-conversation-on-entrepreneurship—-15-may-2018).

Oxford Entrepreneurs will also be in attendance along with members of Wadham’s student and alumni communities. This event is jointly organised by Oxford Entrepreneurs and Wadham college.
